  18. I don't know of any such work, and I think I'd be one of the earlier persons
  19. to hear about it.  Tk has some nice ideas that may be worth borrowing, but
  20. its not the best model for user interface programming I've seen; for example,
  21. DEC's Trestle system has a very nice design.

  23. There are lots of different opinions about what language support for user
  24. interface programming in Icon should look like.  I think its very likely
  25. that improvements and alternative sets of tools will appear; what they
  26. look like will depend on who implements them.
